AMAZING AWARENESS - 16 YEAR OLD STARTS GLUTEN FREE PIE BUSINESS

Elizabeth Petry lives on a farm in Minnesota. She is only 16 and has started baking and selling gluten free pies. She sold out of her pies at a farmer's market and had requests for more. Here is a quote from the Inforum article.

"Indeed, her Dutch apple pies – which boast cinnamon-spiked apples and a
sweet, buttery streusel over a delicate, crumbly crust – prove you don’t need
gluten to make a mighty fine pie. That’s good news for people with celiac
disease, a genetic condition in which gluten triggers an autoimmune response
that can damage the small intestine."
Elizabeth also makes gluten free bread from organic blue corn. Her mom has food allergies. Are you inspired by Elizabeth? How about baking and selling your own gluten free goodies at a school bake sale and handing out flyers about Celiac Disease?
